ActiveSys Presentation

ActiveSys presents itself with new approach to the design and implementation of IT solutions

It officially presented itself to the market in mid-June 2017, but already has a strong range of partnerships and an extended area of operation. ActiveSys promises to bring to the IT market a strong technology consulting component as well as solutions that will help companies in their digital transformation process.

Founded by David Guimarães and António Louro, ActiveSys is positioned as a technology consulting and information systems integration services company. ActiveSys is dedicated to the design, design and implementation of technological solutions with specialized information systems integration, information protection and management services, data center and disaster recovery, unified communications, security and networking.

The company will also devote itself to managed services and maintenance of customers’ home solutions with support services and remote monitoring of information systems in a 24×7 regime. The company expects to achieve a turnover of around 500,000 euros already in the first year of activity.

ActiveSys was born with the goal of delivering “a new approach in the design, design and implementation of IT solutions in response to problems and needs of digital transformation of companies, to become more flexible and competitive in the global market”, says António Louro, managing partner & co-founder of ActiveSys. The new integrator has the long professional experience of António Louro, who held for about three years the position of managing director of the northern branch of an IT solutions integrator, also having 13 years of experience at HP Portugal, as senior account manager. David Guimarães has a long professional experience marked by the passage by multinationals such as Symantec and Commvault, as territory manager, as well as by companies such as Tecnidata and Telindus, ONI Solutions and Comnexo. This project is joined by four more qualified and certified technical staff in the technologies they represent.

Agility and efficiency are a priority for organizations

With a total of 10 employees, ActiveSys promises to bring to the IT market a strong component of technical certification and technology consulting, as well as innovative solutions with the aim of helping companies to the adoption of digital. For David Guimarães, managing partner & co-founder, today the biggest challenges of organizations relate to their ability to innovate and the transformation of their business, which allows them to “become more agile and efficient”. At the same time, the ability to “transform and retain talents to cope with this fourth industrial revolution” is, according to António Louro, another of the challenges activesys intends to address.

To this end, it has partnerships for its different areas of activity. In “Information Protection and Management”, ActiveSys has partnerships with Commvault, Rubrik and Imperva, while the Managed Services area is supported by Zabbix and Sysaid. HPE and Dell EMC are partners who are working with ActiveSys in Data Center and Disaster Recovery, and HPE also has a partnership with the networking industry integrator along with Huawei. For the security area, it has partnerships with Check Point and Kaspersky Lab. In Collaboration and Video, ActiveSys works with Polycom and Avaya. Finally, in the Business Solutions area, the integrator has partnerships with PRIMAVERA and OutSystems.

Digital transformation requires investment

The business paradigm has changed in recent years and organizations have begun to enter into processes of technological transformation that have completely changed the way they develop their business and present themselves to the market. Innovating is now an even greater need and companies that are not agile and competitive tend to disappear.

At the same time, David Guimarães points out as a cause the recent period “of strong restraint in the investments of companies, the result of the international conjuncture and the national adjustment program”, which led to the postponement of much of the investments destined to the modernization and technological innovation of companies. investments that, as ActiveSys’ managing partner points out, “could have made organizations more efficient, but above all driven by the creation of new products and services, as well as the creation of new experiences for consumers and business partners.” “This is an ideal time to start our activity and help organizations in their digital transformation,” says António Louro.
